In reply I am to state for the

information of Lord Carnarvon that the Board of Grade see no reason

for

disapproving of the Ordinance in question and that with reference to the Tonnage

of the ship Schany they are of opinion - that the Registrar of Shipping

acted quite

properly in refusing

to re measure

that

vessel as no alterations or additions appear to have been made and

the

original

measurement seems to be correct.

I am to submit that should his

Lordship

objection, the accompanying

copy of a Report by this Board's Principel Surveyor for Sonnage may

be transmitted

to the Registar at Hong Kong for his information
